These terms cover gameson.sale and the gameson.sale app in ChatGPT and other AI assistants. They are an agreement between you and Adam Finzel(“we”), who runs gameson.sale. By using either, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

What we do, and what we don't

We compare prices for games across stores and regions, and link to the stores that sell them. We don't sell games. When you buy, you buy from the store, and the store's own terms, prices, refunds and support apply.

Some of our links earn us a commission if you buy. This doesn't change what you pay, and it doesn't affect which games we cover or what we write about them.

Prices can be wrong

We read prices from each store's own data and check them often, but stores change prices without notice. The price at the store at the moment you buy is the one that counts. If we can't confirm a price recently, we say so or leave it out. Still, we can't promise any price, discount or “record low” is accurate or current.

The same goes for answers from AI assistants that use our app. We give them the same data and the same warnings, but we don't control how an assistant words or presents them.

Your account

You don't need an account to browse. If you create one, keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Give us a real email address, because it's how you get back in if you're locked out.

What you post

Comments, questions, answers and reports you post stay yours, but you give us permission to show them on the site. Keep them about the games. Don't post anything unlawful, abusive, misleading or spammy, or anything that isn't yours to share. We review comments before they appear, and we can remove anything, or close an account, that breaks these rules.

Fair use, including by AI assistants

The site and the app are for people looking for games and prices. Our app answers questions one at a time, and AI assistants are welcome to use it that way. You may not:

• copy the catalogue or price data in bulk, by scraping, automated queries or any other means;
• get around rate limits, the checks on our Buy links, or any other protection;
• use the site or app in a way that disrupts it for others, or to build a competing database.

We may limit or block access that looks like any of the above.

Our content

Our writing, recommendations and the way we organise the catalogue belong to us. Game names, art and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here only to identify the games.

No guarantees

The site and app are provided “as is”. We work to keep them running and correct, but we don't guarantee they'll be available, error-free or suited to any particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses from using the site or app, including paying more than a price we showed, or a purchase from a store we linked to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.

Privacy

How we handle your data is set out in our privacy policy.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms. When we do, we'll update the date at the top, and we'll email account holders about significant changes before they take effect. You can stop using the site at any time, and delete your account from your account page.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protections of your local consumer law, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
