Has it aged?Why ↓
Knytt Underground is a subterranean 2D exploration platformer starring Mi Sprocket, a sprite who can turn into a ball. You explore the underground on a quest to ring six bells of fate: a pleasingly peculiar assignment for a protagonist whose transformation is more enticing than a sword.
The legendary Knytt series continues with Nifflas’ latest creation; Knytt Underground. In this Knytteration; humans have long since abandoned the planet after practically destroying it in a war, five hundred years ago.

The verdict
Play it for the peculiar exploration premise: an underground journey as a sprite who can become a ball. Ringing six bells gives the wandering a clear purpose without making the pitch sound like another heroic conquest. The attraction is that combination of a simple assignment and an unusual body, not the promise of spectacle.
Play it if
You gravitate towards platformers for the places they let you explore, and an unusual playable creature interests you more than another warrior.
Skip it if
Anyone for whom navigating a world through 2D platforming is a dealbreaker, however intriguing the setting.
